Questions
What is EXIOS?
A sci-fi hero RTS. You build a base, gather three resources, raise an army and lead heroes who fight on the front line with blades, guns and flux. It is built around a story campaign, with skirmish against the AI for straight fights.
When can I play it?
Early Access is planned for 2027. There is no date yet. Wishlist EXIOS on Steam when the page goes live and Steam will tell you the moment it launches.
Which platforms?
PC. Steam and the Epic Games Store at launch.
How much will it cost?
The price has not been announced.
What is in Early Access?
Act 1 of the campaign (10 missions) plus skirmish against the AI, with the Humans playable.
Is there multiplayer?
Not at the start of Early Access. Multiplayer comes after it, but only when the netcode and balance are good enough to deserve it. Co-op is the likely first step.
How dark is it?
EXIOS is a mature game (rating pending): blood and violence. The violence serves the story and is never there just to shock. Blood and gore can be set to Full, Reduced or Off in the settings.
Does EXIOS use AI?
The code is written with AI assistance, and the Steam page will say so. The final art, voices and music are made by paid human artists, actors and musicians. Some voices and art in the current build are placeholders, and they will be replaced before Early Access. Sound effects are licensed recordings made by people.
Who makes it?
Cinderhawk Games, an independent one-person studio in Toronto, working with paid freelance artists and actors.
